The Firm Live Performance '97
This is something i think i might do time to time is put up some classic vids that mean alot to me from the golden era! So be on the lookout when i put these up and if u have any comments on the vids state ur peace in the comments box below the vid!
This right here epitomizes everything that i love about the golden era, one of my fav. groups is the The Firm!! When Foxy brown 1st mentioned the group on the LL "I Shot Ya" joint, i knew big things was about to happen! And it did! When they came out, it was huge to me, cause all these emcees came together to form a supergroup! And many people wanted to be apart of it including Noreaga, Capone, Half a Mil, Mary J., Jay Z ( story to tell later on), Cormega (story to tell later on). And remember '97 was already poppin off with Biggie, Puff & Mase, Missy, CNN and etc. I remember DJ Clue playin many joints from them and they was like major exclusives! To this day i still wonder why everybody trashes their album, i dont understand. That album to me was dope! But thats just me. Well peep the video and tell me what u think? This is from the Keenan Ivory Wayans show which was on UPN late night at the time, i do remember a couple of shows of his!
Check It!!

I hear you Brandan I don't think they trashed it with everything tht was out at the time it just didn't get the recognition! That album was smoking but remember Nas was blazing and Foxy was on fire at the time the rest was trying to make it but they had mad skills as well which brings us to the split up!! To this day Cormega has just as many albums as Nas and more than Foxy but headz still slept on him as well!!Nature never got his just due and Cormega's material spent life being shelved or pushed back!!! There was no way talent of this calibur was going to stay together that long anyway so consider ourselves blessed!!!
mainstream media definitely gave this album a goot thrashing.
nas was getting some heavy backlash about "going pop" after 'it was written,' and everyone seemed to be piling on.
fucking haters. the firm is SICK.
