DJ Mister Cee- Hittin Ya In Da Head IV

DJ Mister Cee...... DJ Mister Cee....... DJ Mister Cee, Cee is on the mix!! AH yeah, Mister Cee is in da house. To me, he's one of my favorite DJ's cause i like the way he does his tapes. Its always well done and put together! So its always a good listen to me. And this tape is from 1995. Look at the tracklisting people, look at what hip-hop used to be like! Like i said before, when i was younger at that time, i always thought hip-hop would always be like that, like this is what hip-hop supposed to sound like. I never thought in a million years it would be where its at today. So please enjoy this tape, bang it in ur house or ur rides today!!

Jay Z , Memphis Bleek & Nas Live at The Tunnel 2000

Thats right, u read right!! Jay Z & Memphis Bleek performing live at the Tunnel! This was around late '99 early 2000! We all know at this time the ROC was da shit, Hov couldnt be touched and even Bleek was makin noise! They perform 2 songs, which was "Coming of Age" & "Get My Mind Right". And when u look at when they did the Coming of Age joint, Hov & Bleek took a page from Biggie for what he used to do at shows. When i look at this i just remember how powerful the ROC was at that time man. And they was about sign Big L, now imagine that!!

Next is Escobar with his swag in full effect, with the Jewels out and Hoodied up! This was late '99 early 2000 and he lettin niggaz know its about to go to Nasty Nas to Nas Escobar to Nastradamus! Now i like the 2000 version of Nas when he went into Nastradamus mode, alot of people killed that album but to me i liked it!! And im not gonna front, i did like "You Owe Me", the joint he did with Ginuwine. And thats when the hate came, alot of people killed him for that, but fuck that. That joint was a damn hit, it helped save that album cause he sold alot of copies. And remember yall "Oochie Wally" was right around the corner!

I hope when yall see this u will realize how exclusive and hot hip-hop was at that time. I mean thats when hip-hop was real hot!! Like hearing Clueminatti!!! out of people rides and hearing Funk Flex dropping bombs on hit records on Hot 97. Thats why i said '99 was the final year hip-hop was on point, after that its been slow decline! So please check this out, and let me know what u think! This is beyond classic footage here!!

DJ Juice- Vol. 37

Cmon man, all I do is drop hits after hits! I mean its my duty to do that, anything else is uncivilized. If i dont do that or fall off from doing that then its time for me to walk away. But I dont see that happining, im gonna be here! So the competition better be on the lookout, cause im here to wipe them away!
Now back to the biz, its DJ Juice back again for '97 with another dope blend tape! This joint is bangin in all kinds of ways. Yall know Juice always gets the best out of his tapes so u know u wont get shorted. So its time to get open, and also stay open to Recognize the Real!!

Chubby Chub- Shits Blazzin

Man, what else can i do? I mean really, what else? I provide the realness damn near everyday with the illest tapes on the net. So yall tell me what else can i do?
But seriously, i always heard of this DJ and tapes were always requested on this site but i personally never heard any of his tapes. So this tape is from 1997, and its a real dope listen. Once again there were tracks on here i never knew existed. Like i said before over and over, '97 was a dope year and most people always overlook that year. But once they actually sit down and anaylze what albums came out that year, they'll see! Hope yall enjoy! And one more thing, please dont front on Craig Mack's "Jockin My Style", that track is bananas!!
*Props to Todd!

Craig G & P-Nice- Hot Like Fire Pt.3

Yes im back like i never left. I know the competition was glad i took a hiatus just like Jay did back in '02! (yall do remember that right? thats when Dame said Cam was gonna run the Roc. crazy right?) But im not gonna let things go haywire while i was away, so back to business and sit back atop my throne.
This is Craig G again for '98 with a bangin blends tape featuring R&B and Hip-Hop. I gotta give props to Craig on this cause the way he freaked the blends on this tape was pretty ill. My joint tho which isnt a blend on this tape was the Mary J. & Lauryn Hill "I Used To Love Him"! This joint is hard as hell, who ever produced it get mad props from me, he incorporated parts of Raekwon's "Ice Cream" into the track which was crazy! When u listen to this u will see! And u will also see that Recognize The Real is #1 when it comes to classic tapes!
* Props to Todd!

Dynamic Duos In Hip-Hop

As i was in my car today comin back home from school, "Victory" came up next in my ipod. And as i was jammin my ass off to that track, i started to think.... who was or is the illest duo in hip-hop all-time? Im talkin about two rappers that shared instant chemistry together, back 2 back on tracks and straight body them!! On that "Victory" track we all know Biggie smashed that, but Puff ripped it as well (probably with a little help from Big or Sauce Money). So a few names i came up with i think makes the cut:

Biggie & Puff
Puff & Mase
Biggie & Jay Z
Mase & Camron
Jadakiss & Styles P
Ghostface & Raekwon
Redman & Method Man
Q-Tip & Busta Rhymes
Nas & Nore
Nas & AZ
Jay Z & Beans
Smoothe Da Hustler & Trigga Tha Gambler
Dr.Dre & Snoop
Redman & Keith Murray
Fat Joe & Big Pun
DMX, Jay Z & Ja Rule (The Original Murder Inc.)

Well those are a few, but i think thats a good list!! So i ask u my fellow hip-hoppers, which of those duo's is the one for u! Please choose 1 and put why u chose them!! Leave ur remarks in Comment Box or Chat Box. Im gonna let this question ride for awhile so i can see what yall think!
This is a good one people, give it some thought. Me personally i cant just choose 1 right now, but the obvious choice would be Big & Jay, but my darkhorse choice from outta no where would be ...... (i know im gonna get killed for this, but this is how im feelin at this moment) Mase & Camron!! Im sorry people, but these 2 niggaz was just ill together for a brief period of time. Now let the atonement begin!

Dirty Harry- From Dusk To Dawn 2

Yeah, i know im killing the competion. I know that, u dont have to remind me! Now this DJ i had heard alot from over the years, but i had never heard any of his tapes until this year. Hey, im just being honest. Now i had heard some of his older joints from '94, '95 and those joints were pretty hot. Now this tape is from 1997. And to me its ok. He did a pretty good job on some of these tracks on here. But i let u be the jugde and let u decide for urself. Also u be the jugde and vote for Recognize the Real, illest site on the planet!
*Props to Todd!

Black Rob Live At The Tunnel 2000

This my nigga B, he was grimy as hell and he would jack ur azz in a minute but his rhymes were definetly on point! At this time in 2000, Black Rob was da man! His album was a banger, borderline classic! Had the #1 single in the country "Whoa"! The crazy thing about that song was i used to hate that record for some reason when it came out, why i dont know. But i was riding around in Jersey with my boy at the time that song came out and we were listining to Hot 97, and Funk Flex played this record and dropped the bomb on it and from that point forward i was hooked! That song has mad energy and hype!! Can U believe Memphis Bleek passed on this beat? He had it 1st and passed on it? WTF!!! Well on this show, he gives u his all on this one! Watch how the crowd goes crazy when he goes into "I Love You Baby"! Thats my joint there as well! If any of u know about the Tunnel in NYC back in the days, u know that this spot was one of the most grimiest clubs out there. U had to be point every second u was in there cause anything could pop off!! Ur 3rd eye better be working cause if it wasnt, bad things could of happened to u. So check out my nigga BR get down!

Kid Capri- 12/3/90

Thats right, i done it again! Yall minus well expect greatness from this site cause that is the path where im headed! Well this is the infamous tape that is well know for Capri goin in Doo Wop. Why? Ok, around this time Capri is killing the tape game. He had every corner on lock around NYC. Well another up and coming DJ wants to put on as well and wanted to be the number #1 guy. So what better way to get ur name known by dissing ur competition on ur tapes. And that is what Doo Wop did for awhile. I guess Capri finally gotten word and i guess he had enough of this cat, and he made sure on this tape he let his feelings be known. And thats how that went. I read somewhere that Doo Wop regrets doing that at that time, but he wanted to be known as well. They both been squashed their beef long ago and that was that. But its just one of those memorable moments in mixtape history! Oh yea, no tracklisting sorry people!
*Props to Todd!!

DooWop & Funkmaster Flex- Face Off

How does he do it? Where does he get this stuff from? I know thats some of the questions u are askin urself. Im tellin yall B, i have them all. Whatever u need u can find it here on my spot!!
Now this tape came out in '97 and it was very critically acclaimed! At this time, Wop was the man on puttin out tapes and Funk Flex was on top of the Radio DJ game on Hot 97 breakin records daily. So when this collaboration came out , it caught people off guard. But this tape did not dissapoint, just check the track listing and see!! U gotta love 1997, and u gotta love Recognize the Real!!
*Props to Todd!!
